📢 Join Us for a Free Human Trafficking Training Series in Cheyenne!

Uprising is hosting a series of human trafficking training sessions, open to anyone who wants to learn about and combat trafficking in Wyoming. Thanks to the Zonta Club of Cheyenne, these sessions are offered at no cost and are tailored for professionals, first responders, parents, and community members alike. You can attend as many sessions as you find applicable to your role or interest.

Training Sessions Overview:

👮 Human Trafficking for Professionals and First Responders

• Tuesday, Oct 15 | 1:00pm – 3:00pm
• Wednesday, Oct 16 | 9:00am – 11:00am
  This session covers the basics of human trafficking and the types of cases seen locally. Learn how to screen, respond to, and work with those impacted by trafficking and exploitation.
  Attendees on Oct 16 have the option to stay for the youth prevention session following with a free lunch provided!

👩‍🏫 Youth Prevention for Professionals

• Wednesday, Oct 16 | 11:00am – 1:00pm
  This session focuses on preventing youth exploitation in both online and in-person settings. We’ll dive into the challenges youth face today and provide tools to reduce their risk of exploitation.

💻 Keeping Kids Safe Online & IRL

• Wednesday, Oct 16 | 6:30pm – 8:30pm
  This session is for anyone with kids or who works with youth. We’ll discuss exploitation threats and how to start conversations that help keep kids safe.

🏘️ Human Trafficking Community Update (HT 101)

• Tuesday, Oct 15 | 6:30pm – 8:00pm
  A community presentation open to anyone wanting to learn more about human trafficking. We’ll review the local landscape of human trafficking and provide actionable information for your community.

All sessions will be held at the Cheyenne Public Safety Center, 415 W. 18th St., Cheyenne, WY 82001.
