A 34-year-old man who allegedly groomed and had sex with a 17-year-old girl who had been reported as a runaway is being accused of creating child pornography.
Marlon Velasquez Aguirre, also known as Marlon Morales Aguirre, waived his preliminary hearing and was bound over to District Court Sept. 23 for one count of sexual exploitation of a child.
Law enforcement found a video on Velasquez Aguirre’s phone that appeared to show him having sex with the teen girl.
On Sept. 3, a senior U.S. investigator with Hope for Justice, a global nonprofit dedicated to fighting human trafficking, alerted the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation that a 17-year-old girl had been reported as a runaway from Iowa.
